Hurricane Irma hit Florida leaving people and businesses in devastation. We used our new heavy lift equipment to help our customers in need. Some Freight Forwarders needed help storing large outdoor generators during the aftermath of Irma, as a result, U.S. Port Services provided necessary aide with our heavy lift capacity equipment and warehousing facility. The Port of Virginia® said, “The Port of Virginia® moved 265,490 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in October, which is a growth of more than 11 percent – for containers as well — when compared with the same month last year and an all-time record for the amount of cargo handled in a single month.”
